How to Choose CS2 Settings for Your Hardware?

Optimal CS2 graphics settings depend on your GPU, CPU, RAM and screen resolution. There is no universal set of settings that will equally suit an RTX 4090 owner and a GTX 1060 owner. FPSUP analyzes your hardware and automatically selects values for each CS2 advanced graphics setting.

For weak hardware (GTX 1050–1660, older Ryzen 3–5) we disable dynamic shadows, reduce model detail and enable FidelityFX Super Resolution to compensate. For powerful hardware (RTX 4070+, Ryzen 7 5800X+) we add anisotropic filtering and model detail that improve visuals without noticeable FPS impact.

Why Is It Important to Set Up CS2 Graphics Correctly?

Wrong graphics settings in Counter-Strike 2 can cost you wins. Too high settings drop FPS below your monitor refresh rate — you start losing gunfights due to an unstable image. Too low — reduces player visibility, especially with shadows off. Our optimizer finds the balance between performance and tactical visibility for your specific setup.
